Wallet, cashback and gift cards

Your wallet holds shop credit that you can spend on HeartCraftedStudio. Money gets into it from cashback offers, gift cards, refunds of wallet money and adjustments we make for you. This page explains the rules.

What is the wallet?

• The wallet is shop credit. It can be spent on orders on this website only.
• It is not a bank account or a payment instrument. It cannot be withdrawn, paid out as cash, or sent to another person.
• Each account has its own wallet. You need an account to have one; guest checkout does not have a wallet.
• You can see your balance and every change on the wallet page in your account.

How does cashback work?

From time to time we run cashback offers, such as a percentage of what you pay, up to a limit, on orders above a stated value. The offer that applies is shown at checkout before you pay, with the amount you will earn.

• Cashback is worked out on the money you actually pay. Money paid from your wallet or taken off by a coupon does not earn cashback.
• It is added to your wallet 24 hours after you place the order, once the order can no longer be cancelled and has been paid in full. For cash on delivery, that is once the cash has been collected.
• Cashback can be spent for 90 days from the day it is added. After that it lapses. Your wallet page shows what will lapse and when.
• If you cancel an order, or an order is refunded or returned, the cashback for it is not given. If it was already added, it is taken back from your wallet, as far as it is still there.
• The rules of an offer are fixed when you place the order. Changing or ending an offer later does not change an order already placed.
• Guests do not earn cashback. Sign in or create an account first.

How do gift cards work?

• A gift card is a code worth a fixed amount. Sign in, open your wallet, enter the code, and the amount is added to your wallet.
• Each code works once. Keep it private: anyone who has the code can use it.
• Some gift cards have a use-by date. A code must be entered by that date. Once the money is in your wallet it does not lapse.
• Gift card money is shop credit. It is not refunded as cash.
• At the moment gift cards are made and given by the studio; they are not sold on the website.

How do you use wallet money at checkout?

• If you are signed in and have a balance, checkout offers to use it. It comes off the total first, and you pay the rest as usual.
• If your wallet covers the whole order, nothing more is paid and the order is confirmed straight away.
• On a cash on delivery order, wallet money comes off the total first. The advance and the cash at the door are worked out on what is left.
• Money that lapses soonest is used first.

What happens to wallet money if an order is cancelled or refunded?

Money goes back to where it came from. The part you paid online goes back to your original payment method, as described in cancellations and payment. The part you paid from your wallet goes back to your wallet. Wallet money returned this way does not lapse.

An order that is never paid for, and is cancelled after an hour, returns any wallet money you used on it.

Corrections and misuse

• If we credit your wallet by mistake, we may take it back.
• We may refuse or reverse cashback, gift card use or wallet money obtained by misusing an offer, using more than one account to earn offers meant for one, or any other abuse.
• We may change or end cashback offers at any time. Wallet money already in your wallet stays yours to spend until it lapses under these rules.
